Milton (Milt) Neuroth was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on November 12, 1908. His elementary and high school education was in the public schools of the city of his birth. In 1926, he entered Purdue University School of Pharmacy. From 1929 to 1934, he served first in the employment office, then a chemist for the General Cable Corporation in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He returned to Purdue University and received the B.S. degree in pharmacy in June 1935. A short period was spent as a pharmacist with Myer Brothers Drug Company and then he joined the staff as Instructor in Pharmacy at Ohio Northern University. At Ohio Northern, he taught during the school year and attended graduate school at Purdue University during the summer months of 1937-38 and 40, when he received the Master of Science degree. In 1943, Past Grand Regent Neuroth returned to Purdue University where he taught in addition to completing formal course work and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in 1945.  In January 1946, he joined the staff of the School of Pharmacy of the Medical College of Virginia. Since that time, he has been appointed Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy.

Dr. Neuroth has revised and edited the Systematic Prescription Pricing Digest and served as National President of Rho Chi Society from 1954 to 1956. He has served on several committees of the A.A.C.P. and the A.Ph.A. over the years. Among the organizations with which he is affiliated with are Sigma Xi, Rho Chi Society, Phi Lambda Upsilon, Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, American Pharmaceutical Association, Virginia Pharmaceutical Association and others. He was very active in serving as chairman of many committees of his State Association. Past Grand Regent Neuroth was member of Kappa Psi since 1935 where he was initiated into the Pi Chapter. He was also associated with the Gamma Delta Chapter at Ohio Northern University, and since 1946, with the Theta Chapter at the Medical College of Virginia. He served as Satrap of Province III, Third Grand Vice Regent from 1949-53, Second Grand Vice Regent from 1953-55, and First Grand Vice Regent from 1955-57. He was the author of a widely publicized article on The Professional Fraternity. Grand Regent Neuroth contributed articles on a variety of subjects in the Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association, both scientific and practical pharmacy edition.
