William Fitzpatrick
William A. “Fitz” Fitzpatrick (Gamma Pi)
Grand Regent: 1974-1979
Bill Fitzpatrick, aka "Fitz," was born on Jan. 1, 1942. He was raised in Edwardsville, Illinois, and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1965.
Fitz was initiated into Kappa Psi Fraternity, Gamma Pi Chapter, in 1961. His Kappa Psi involvement includes:
Regent of the collegiate chapter
Satrap of Province VII
Assistant Executive Secretary, Executive Secretary (1971-1973)
Third Grand Vice Regent
Member of the Executive Committee and Grand Regent (1974-1979)
He reactivated the Graduate Chapter in 1967.
Fitz was very active on the National Level of Kappa Psi for over 15 years after graduation. He received the Richard Bliss, Jr. Award from Kappa Psi in 2013. He attended the 57th GCC in Denver, Colorado, where all living Past Grand Regents were invited and acknowledged in 2015.
Fitz had a very rewarding professional career and proudly contributes his success to his involvement in Kappa Psi. He owned Fitzpatrick Pharmacy & Medical Supplies, Universal Drug Systems, and Home Healthcare Consultants. After selling his businesses and retiring for a short period of time in 1997, he joined Omnicare as Corporate Compliance Officer. He retired permanently in 2009.

Missouri Pharmacist "Man of the Year" Award in 1975
Missouri Bowl of Hygeia Award in 1995
Member of the Missouri Board of Pharmacy for 8 years and president for 5 consecutive years (1989-1997)
Honorary President of NABP (2005-2006)
These are just a few of his accomplishments during his 50-plus years in the profession of pharmacy.
Fitz is most proud to be the father of 5 beautiful, successful daughters and "Gramps" to 12 grandkids (6 granddaughters and 6 grandsons), and 3 great-grandchildren with another on the way.
After living in Missouri for 57 years, Fitz now resides in Granbury, Texas, to be closer to his family. He turned 80 years old on Jan. 1, 2022.
