Brian C. Reisetter

Brian C. Reisetter (Beta Chi)

Grand Regent: 1999-2001

Past Grand Regent Brian Reisetter was raised in rural Iowa and attended Drake for his BSPharm and MBA. He later attended Ole Miss for his PhD in pharmaceutical marketing. He was initiated into Beta Chi in 1981 and is a member of Iowa Grad. He served in various roles within the Fraternity, including Chapter Historian and Regent, and Province VII Historian and Satrap. He began his national level service when he was elected as Grand Ritualist in 1993. He then had roles as Grand Counselor, Grand Vice Regent, and finally as Grand Regent in 1999. He has been a Chairman for the advisory committee and Treasurer of the Kappa Psi Foundation. In 2021, Brian received the A. Richard Bliss Award.

Dr. Reisetter says that he is most proud of being actively involved in Province level activities as a grad Brother. He says that his favorite Kappa Psi memories was winning his first province office in 1983. His advice for New Brothers is to be active, take positions of leadership, and look for opportunities. He reminds them to not give up if they don’t win. To stay involved, he says to show up and be active in what the Fraternity is doing to move forward towards the goals.

Kappa Psi made an impact on life. He wouldn’t have the job that he has, his group of friends, his social life, or stability in life without Kappa Psi. The most influential Brothers he mentions are Paul Hiller, who introduced him to many other Brothers, and Dewey Garner, who he credits for his leadership style. Past Grand Regent Garner also happened to sign his membership card and PhD Diploma. Dr. Reisetter wants to be remembered as someone that was fair and objective to help create better experiences for the Brothers and as someone who was passionate about helping all Brothers have the experiences and opportunities to enrich your personal and professional life. Outside of Kappa Psi, he received the Alumni of the Year award from Drake in 2012. His definition of success is being proficient and respected in developing expertise in something that makes you happy.
