John Grossomanides
John Grossomanides (Beta Epsilon)
Grand Regent: 1995-1997
Dr. John Grossomanides is an initiate of Beta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Rhode Island, where he earned his B.S and Pharm.D. During his time in school, John served as regent of Beta Epsilon in 1982. John has also won the prestigious Frank H. Eby Award in 1985.
Past Grand Regent Grossomanides has shown great leadership within the pharmacy community, but also outside of the pharmacy community as well. He was elected twice as the Supreme President of the American Hellenic Education Progressive Association (AHEPA), a leading association for the nation’s American Citizens of Greek Heritage, and Philhellenes. John also has served as President of both the Rhode Island Society of Hospital Pharmacists and the Rhode Island Pharmacists Association.
Dr. Grossomanides has served the Fraternity internationally as Grand Regent (1995-1997), Grand Vice Regent (1993-1995), Grand Counselor (1991-1993), Graduate Member-at-Large (1987-1991), and Collegiate Member-at-Large (1983-1985). Past Grand Regent Grossomanides was presented the A. Richard Bliss, Jr. Award in 2018.
In 2000, Brother Grossomanides because a member of the Kappa Psi Foundation Board of Directors and has served as President since 2003. He initiated the biennial golf tournament at the Grand Council Convention, a leading source of revenue for the Foundation and has also endowed a named Kappa Psi Foundation scholarship.
John is married to Anna-Helen Grossomanides. Anna-Helen was elected Grand President of Daughters of Penelope, a sister organization of AHEPA.
